According to Nepal's civil aviation authority, Makalu Air lost one of its three Cessna 208B Grand Caravans, when it impacted a mountainside near Simikot (photo) at an altitude of 12,800 feet.
The Aviation Safety Network reported that both crew members suffered fatal injuries.
Built in 1999, the aircraft took off for a domestic cargo service from Surkhet (SKH) at 06.12 local time. The Cessna was scheduled to arrive in Simikot (IMK) at 06.55, but the accident occurred about 10 minutes before landing. (ah) SOURCE: ITJ
