Delegates at the IRO Members' Meeting held at the offices of Temprorary Works Design and Barge Master in Rotterdam Photograph R. Krabbendam
Date 14 September
Yesterday, 13 September, the IRO, the Association of Dutch Suppliers in the Oil and Gas Industry and Offshore Renewable Industry, held their members' meeting at the offices of Temporary Works Design (TWD) and Barge Master in the Rotterdam Science Tower.
In front of a full house of attending members representing companies working in offshore energy related industries from all over the Netherlands, presentations were made by
· Hendrik Moorrees, Global Projects & Wells Logistics Support Manager at Shell;
· Marco Gremmen, R&D Lead Engineer at Tideway Offshore Solutions;
· Peter Loef, Co-Founder and Partner at Beequip, and …
· Richard Krabbendam founder of Heavy Lift Specialist and Heavy Lift News.
Richard’s presentation was in the form of a heavy lift quiz with multiple choice answers to be logged on the cell phones of the attendees. The multiple choice lived up to its reputation of providing wrong answers that looked to be the correct answer resulting in red faced embarrassment from some of the delegates. But following clear analysis and explanations given by Richard after each question, the delegates were able to go home all the wiser after our mini Heavy Lift Specialist Seminar.The next full seminar will be at the same venue, TWD's office, on 1-3 October. Check here for details.
Thanks go to the speakers and TWD / Barge Master for providing a interesting and educational meeting and to the IRO for their organization.
