27 March 2018

Boeing and Singapore Airlines have celebrated the delivery of the first B787-10 airplane, the newest and largest member of the Dreamliner family.

As a stretch version of the B787-9, the B787-10 retains over 95% commonality while adding seats and cargo capacity. The launch customer plans to puts its B787-10s into scheduled service in May, with flights to Osaka and Perth.

Another Asian airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA), has placed a new order for two B777 freighters valued at USD 678 million according to list prices. While ANA is a major operator of the B777 passenger jet, the carrier has grown its cargo operation with the medium-sized B767F.

The new B777Fs, the first to be operated by an airline in Japan, should be deployed on international routes, particularly to Asia, China, and North America. (ah)  SOURCE: ITJ
