They support the development, construction, maintenance and decommissioning of oil and gas import and export facilities, fixed and floating exploration and drilling facilities, pipelines and cables and offshore wind farms.

In order to meet the increasing weights of Wind Turbine foundations, being mono piles as well as Jacket Structures, BosKalis decided to convert the Semi-Submersible Heavy Transport Vessel "Finesse" (ex Dockwise) into a State of the Art Offshore Installation vessel, outfitted with a 3,000 mTons Huisman Heavy Lift Mast Crane.

With its boom pivot point 35 m above deck and a main boom length of 70 m, the crane offers enough lifting height and capacity (3000 mTons at 28 m raidus) to handle the heaviest Mono piles and Jacket Foundations

In 2017 Boskalis will convert one of its semi-submersible heavy lift vessels into a self-propelled crane vessel, including a 3,000 mt revolving crane.

It will be able to execute transportation as well as installation or decommissioning services. In this animation the vessel is performing decommissioning services.

Due to its DP-2 capabilities there is no loss time for anchor spread deployment. The vessel can accommodate 150 persons and will have a helicopter deck available for offshore transfers.

Expected delivery 2018. A sister vessel is also scheduled for conversion into a 3,000 ton crane vessel. SOURCE: Boskalis
