Herbert Ortner, CEO of the Austrian Palfinger group, has decided not to extend his mandate that expires at the end of 2018.
As from 31 December 2017, Ortner, who has worked for Palfinger for 16 years, will only be available to the company in an advisory capacity. The management board’s nomination committee is now searching for a successor.
“We would like to thank Ortner for his outstanding strategic and operational achievements, as well as for his absolute dedication to our company and family. We wish him every success and happiness for the future.”
Ortner spent the first two years at Palfinger as CMO, before being appointed to the board. As CEO, he boosted the consolidated sales from around EUR 500 million in 2008, to about EUR 1.5 billion in 2017, and acquired and integrated more than 30 enterprises. (cd) SOURCE: ITJ
